India has announced an immediate financial aid worth $ Five million to floods-affected Pakistan, in which hundreds of lives have already been lost and many rendered homeless. The aid would contribute towards carrying out rescue and relief work for the victims of the massive floods that have adversely affected the neighboring country, causing widespread damage to life and property, said a statement issued by India's External Affairs Ministry. India's External Affairs Minister Somanhalli Mallaiah Krishna called up his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi to convey his country's concerns to the ongoing tragedy in Pakistan. On behalf of his Government and the people of India, Krishna also conveyed deepest sympathies and condolences to the people and Government of Pakistan, on this natural disaster, the statement was quoted as saying by the Press Trust of India.
