Dr Fahd Al-Sultan, the Secretary General of the Council of the Saudi Chambers of Commerce, has hailed the decision of the cabinet pertaining to the approval of the 9th Five-Year Development Plan (2010-14) and said this development will positively contribute to further developing the country. The policy of expanding governmental expenditure as stipulated in the 9th development plan provides a clear evidence for the strength of the Saudi economy and the Kingdom's farsightedness as regards dealing with the international financial crisis. He said the private sector appreciates the Kingdom's policy as regards supporting economic development programs and enabling the private sector to contribute to the implementation of the projects of economic development. Al-Sultan expected that the 9th Development Plan will contribute to the diversification of the economic base.
