World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) organized in the last few days a caravan for displaced Eritreans residing in east Sudan. Dr Mohammed al-Ghamidi, the director of international relations at WAMY, said the one-month caravan will visit several areas in the Sudanese provinces of Kasala and Kadarif for extending services to more than 15 camps and villages inhabited by about 500,000 Eritreans. 15 Islamic callers from WAMY in addition to local callers are participating in the caravan which organizes Islamic lectures and seminars. The caravan has distributed copies of the Holy Quran to the displaced Eritreans and provided them with Islamic and cultural books in addition to other assistance.
