Three persons, including a woman, were killed and five others got injured in a blast at an unlicensed firecracker unit at Muttam near Haripad town, Alappuzha in south Indian state Kerala, PTI reported. The injured were taken to hospital, while the police is investigating into Sunday's incident, with the help of explosives experts. Electrical short-circuit was believed to have caused the blast as gunpowder there caught fire.
