Akhir 22, 1432 / March 27, 2011, SPA -- An explosion at an aluminum-polishing workshop in Huangtian town in east China's Zhejiang Province triggered a fire Sunday, leaving one dead and ten injured, local authorities said. Police in Zhejiang's Yongjia County received reports of the explosion and ensuing fire in Huangtian at about 8:53 a.m. Sunday. Firemen had the fire under control by noon, Xinhua reported. One person died on the scene, while the ten injured had been hospitalized, local firefighting bureau officials said. Two of the victims were in critical condition. The powerful explosion leveled the makeshift workshop, officials said. An initial investigation showed that the blast may have been caused by an electrical circuit failure.
