A gas cylinder explosion occurred at a location on Jalan Mandalika 1, Tanjung Duren Selatan, West Jakarta, injuring 10 people with burns. The 3-kg LPG cylinder burst on Sunday at 3.30 am at a leased house of a chicken porridge seller, ANTARA reported. Tanjung Duren police said the explosion occurred when the man was preparing his porridge. Some of the other sellers also preparing their porridge, smelt a leaking gas canister. He then put the looking canister into a vessel of water. But it appeared that another leaking gas canister was not quick enough to be put into the vessel of water, and triggered by a stove and exploded, injuring 10 people, who were immediately rushed to Sumber Waras hospital in Grogol area. Three of the victims were women and seven men, all still under treatment at the hospital.
