Since the inception of its ordinary sessions of its second year of the fifth round through five months, the Shoura Council conducted and discussed 71 topics, including annual performance reports, drafts of regulations and systems and international agreements and treaties, and issued 86 decisions on some of them, a report said today. In a statement, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, secretary General of the Shoura Council, said the Council held 42 ordinary sessions during which it studied 17 systems and discussed 29 annual performance reports of a number of governmental bodies and reviewed 38 international agreements and treaties and memoranda of understanding and cooperation. Citing the most important decisions taken by the Shoura Council over the last five months, Dr. Al-Ghamdi said the Council approved the 9th development five-year plan covering the period from 1431/1432 H. - 1435/1436 H. and is set to discuss a report to be submitted by the Financial Affairs Committee regarding the difference of points of view between the Shoura Council and the Cabinet on financing systems, including real estate finance system, finance corporate control system, finance lease system, and registered real mortgage system as well as the amendment of some articles in the stock market system according to article 17 of the Shoura Council. --More
