Sheikh said the meeting held by speakers of the legislative councils in the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council as well as the meeting of the speakers of parliaments in the Arab countries before the convening of the 3rd World Conference were primarily aimed at promoting coordination in their stands. He noted that the Saudi Majlis Al-Shura has presented a paper in which it called for canceling article 33 included in the draft of the final communiqué because the issue is still under study by the parliaments. Meanwhile, He received earlier today Speaker of the peoples' council in Syria Dr Mahmoud Al-Abrash. They reviewed topics on the agenda of the conference as well as aspects of cooperation between the Saudi Majlis Al-Shura and the Syrian peoples' council. He also met with chairman of the council of advisors in Morocco Mohammed Sheikh Biyadallah. They reviewed issues on the agenda of the conference as well as bilateral relations.
