Fire ravaged 10 houses in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, on Sunday but there was no immediate report of casualties. The fire started at one of the houses and spread quickly to nearby buildings, eyewitnesses said. They also said the fire was strongly believed to have been caused by a short circuit. Fire fighters with the help of local residents managed to put out the blaze 30 minutes after it ravaged 10 houses and their contents, ANTARA reported. Police are looking into the cause of the fire. The material losses caused by the fire are estimated to reach hundreds of millions of rupiahs.
