Drowning deaths in the Russian capital have tripled year-on-year in the first six weeks of the summer swimming season, the Interfax News Agency quoted health officials as saying on Sunday. At least 110 people have reportedly died in Moscow's lakes and rivers since the beginning of June - and 11 this weekend alone. Many people are said to swim in areas that are not marked as public beaches, dpa reported.
