Five people were injured in an explosion of a security officer's car in the town of Nartkala, Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria. The injured people are the officer himself, his two children and two women, a source at the Investigation Committee's department in Kabardino-Balkaria told Itar-Tass on Saturday. It occurred on Friday at about 23:45 Moscow time. An explosive devise went off under the car bottom in the yard of a building when the car was driven off. All the injured people were taken to hospital. A criminal case has been opened on charges of an attempt on the lives of law-enforcement personnel, illegal arms possession, illegal making of explosives and an attempt to kill two or more people. Investigation work is underway at the site.
