Quds conference, the Dammam-based Al-Yaum said Arab representatives will hold today a meeting at the Arab League to review means of convening an international conference on Al-Quds problem. The convening of this conference has become necessary after Israel's provocative policy and its violation of the international conventions and resolutions, the daily said. "As regards the occupied Al-Quds, the UN and all important countries of the world don't recognize Israeli authority on al-Quds and view the city as an Arab city occupied by the Jewish state since 1967." It will be the duty of the proposed international conference to work for ending Israel's excavation policy at Al-Aqsa mosque because the Israeli practices may pave the way for confrontation of civilizations and cultures and undermine the ongoing efforts for narrowing the gap among the nations and cultures, the paper noted. The conference should draw the attention of the world to the fact that Israel is occupying Al-Quds and its allegations that Al-Quds is its capital is meaningless, the daily added.
