In the wake of Israeli aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) has summoned an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee at the ministerial level, Sunday at its headquarters in Jeddah. The OIC will examine all possible measures required to address the current situation and will adopt a unified Islamic position to put an end to the Israeli aggression against the third holiest site of Islam. The meeting will focus on measures to prevent Judaization of Occupied Jerusalem. Participants will also discuss the ongoing excavation activities underneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque and other violations perpetrated at the behest of the occupation forces. The Secretary General of the OIC, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, will examine the issue of supporting education and health sectors in Al-Quds, as the city needs at least $30 million per annum in order to preserve its Arab-Islamic identity, while Israel doles out huge funds to strip it of its cultural heritage. Sources in the OIC said that the education sector in the Occupied Al-Quds was in a shambles mainly due to a lack of resources. This situation might compel Palestinian students to turn to schools run by the Israeli authorities.
