As many as 21 swine flu cases have been reported in south Indian state Tamil Nadu and preventive measures were taken against spread of H1N1 virus, State Health Minister M R K Panneerselvam said Tuesday. "In Tamil Nadu, 21 persons, who were affected by H1NI, were admitted and getting treatment in various hospitals," he told reporters after holding a meeting with state health officials. Medical teams have been formed in the bordering areas to screen passengers coming from neighbouring states. Adequate stocks of Tamiflu tablets were available in all the districts of the state, he was quoted as saying by the Press Trust of India. According to statistics given by health officials, out of 21 swine flu cases in the state, 14 were from Kaniyakumari, three from Chennai, two from Thiruvallur and one each from Nagapattinam and Namakkal.
