TAIF: No new cases of H1N1 swine have been reported in the Kingdom, Zeyad Mamish, undersecretary for Preventive Medicine, has said. “The pandemic is no longer present in the Kingdom,” he said. “H1NI has turned into a strain of seasonal flu.” According to Mamish, the new seasonal flu vaccine has an in-built protection against the H1N1 virus, and the ministry has returned its stock of the H1N1 vaccine. “The vaccine now being used for seasonal flu protects against three strains, including H1N1,” he said. “H1N1 is not being treated as a threat but instead as a strain of seasonal flu.”
