based Al-Nadwa said the Arab foreign ministers at a meeting held in Cairo on Thursday reiterated what had earlier been spelled about the Custodian the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah ibn Abdulaziz in which he had said the Arab peace initiative would not remain on the table indefinitely. "It has become very clear that Israel is not keen on bringing about peace and at the same time it is not expected to cooperate with any party to pave the way for secured atmosphere in the region," said the paper, adding that the recent Israeli aggression against Gaza aid flotilla has proved that the Jewish state constitutes a great challenge to peace. "In the light of these swift developments, it is an essential matter for the Arab countries to draw the attention of the UN security council to take a firm decision pertaining to peace in the Middle East and force Israel to respect the peace option. The paper pointed out that the Arab peace initiative will not remain indefinitely on the table. In the light of the Israeli disregard and arrogance, it is high time for the international community to take practical actions so as to avoid a new war in the region, the daily concluded. --More
