The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has provided 90 tons of dates for the World Food Programme (WFP) in Cameroon. The assistance was handed over by the Saudi Ambassador to Cameroon Mohammed bin Hussein Qattan to the Director of the World Food Programme (WFP) in Cameroon Haladou Salha. On this occasion, Salha hailed the assistance, saying that "In 2009, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided the WFP with $ 329,000 to buy 215 tons of wheat which were distributed to refugees from Central African Republic. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also provided the WFP with 90 tons of dates which were also distributed to refugees from Central African Republic and Chad". For his part, the Saudi Ambassador said that according to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has allocated 4,000 tons of dates to WFP in 2010, where 90 tons were allocated to WFP in Cameroon.
