King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) inked here yesterday a cooperation agreement yesterday with British Oxford University to establish a joint research center in the field of petrochemicals called (KOPRC). The Center, which the uses the initials of KACST and Oxford, will work on the implementation of five joint applied research projects between the two establishments in oil refining and petrochemical industries, said Dr. Ibrahim Al Suwil, The President of KASCT. KOPRC, the first of its kind in the Arab world in petrochemical, comes within the KACST strategic plan to transform petrochemical industry in the Kingdom.
