King Abdulaziz City for Sciences and Technology (KACST) signed here today an agreement with IBM. The agreement stipulates establishment of a distinguished international center for advanced researches in the field of water desalination, energy and petrochemicals in Riyadh. The function was attended by minister of finance Dr Ibrahim al-Assaf, minister of civil service Mohammed bin Ali al-Fayez, minister of economy and planning Khalid al-Quseibi, Prince Dr Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed al-Saud, the Vice-president of KACST for research institutes, and IBM's country director general, middle east, Egypt and Pakistan Takreem el-Tohamy. Speaking on the occasion, Prince Turki bin Saud underscored the importance of cooperation with IBM for attaining technological development. Prince Turki said the agreement will positively contribute to the development of petrochemical industries in the Kingdom.
