Prince Faisal Ibn Abdullah Ibn Mohammed Al Saud, Saudi Minister of Education received here on Saturday evening an honorary PH.D. awarded to him by U.S. Georgetown College University in Kentucky State in recognition of his efforts in the service of education, preparation of Saudi youth for facing the challenges of the future, and his significant contribution in the preparation of the convention of the Exhibition of Gift from the Desert on the history and heritage of Arab thoroughbred horses currently in progress in Kentucky. This has also been in building a cultural bridge of contacts between the two friendly countries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America. In a speech on this occasion, Prince Faisal expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the University. He highlighted the attention paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud for scientific and educational preparation of Saudi youth for facing the challenges of the future. In this regard, the Prince also highlighted the King's interest in the establishment of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology as a center for scientific research, an educational edifice, and a cultural bridge for cultural contacts representing the King's vision for dialogue between different civilizations and cultures.
