Prince Khalid Al Faisal Ibn Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, Governor of Makkah Province patronized here yesterday the graduation ceremony of 59th batch comprising 4,331 students of Umm Al Qura University for the academic year 1431/1432H, who had pursued their academic studies for diploma, bachelor, master and doctoral degrees. On arrival at the venue of the ceremony, the Governor was greeted by the University's President Dr. Bakri bin Matouk Asas, its senior officials and deans of its colleges. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, then, witnessed a visual presentation about the university's continual progress through stages and its accomplishments in varied fields inclusive of contributions by its scientific and research-oriented community. In an address on the occasion, Dr Asas welcomed Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and thanked him for his patronage of the ceremony. He said the university is celebrating the graduation of a new batch of its students in various disciplines and scientific theoretic fields. Dr Asas noted that the University is one of the pillars of the scientific, cultural and humanitarian edifices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and that it has been receiving all the needed support from its government. He hailed the top attention and big support given to the University by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier, who truly helped the University to gain the prestigious position. --MORE
