Saudi Arabia holds the presidency of the Consultative Committee for UNRWA

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set to hold early July 2010 the presidency of the Consultative Committee for UNRWA, the first Arab donor country to hold this post.
In a statement, the General Commissioner of UNRWA Filippo Grandi said the presidency of the consultative committee for UNRWA will be transferred to Saudi Arabia in July for one year, noting that it would be the first time an Arab donor country holds that job.
He thanked the Kingdom for its political, financial and ethical support for UNRWA.
