Syrian President Meets UNRWA Commissioner-General

Akhir 08, 1432 / March 13, 2011, SPA -- Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad met here today the Commissioner-General of United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Filippo Grandi.
During the meeting, they reviewed the projects executed by UNRWA in Syria in addition to the standing cooperation between Syria and UNRWA.
President Al-Assad was briefed by Grandi on the conditions of the Palestinian Refugees in the Arab countries and the conditions of the Palestinians inside the occupied Palestinian territories and the difficulties faced by UNRWA in its operations inside the occupied territories under the Israeli siege imposed on Gaza Strip and the closure of the crossings.
