The Watchmen of the Blessed Mosque of Al-Aqsa thwarted an Israeli extremist attempt to trespass in its vicinity from Alqtanin Gate, a news correspondent reported yesterday. The Jewish Extremist arrived on the scene overnight disguised himself in an Arab dress and tried to storm the Mosque but the Mosque's watchmen and citizens were vigilant and reported his action to the Israeli patrol where the trespasser was taken to a police station in Al Buraq square, the correspondent added. Dozens of extremists escorted by Israeli police crisscrossed the courtyards of the Blessed Mosque of Al-Aqsa, and tried to perform their rituals, but the watchmen intervention prevented them from entering the Mosque. An official source in the Department of the Al Quds Islamic Waqf counted as many as 132 Israeli attempts to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque, and noted that the watchmen blocked the entrance to the Dome of the Rock to prevent extremists an access to perform their Talmudic rites.
