Yonhap News Agency, South Korea's key news service, on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) and five other Asian and Middle Eastern news agencies on strengthening comprehensive bilateral cooperation in the multimedia and broadcasting fields. The five others, which separately concluded MOUs with Yonhap, are the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Kazinform and Khabar, both of Kazakhstan, Emirates News Agency (WAM) of the United Arab Emirates and Nepal's RSS news agency. The MOUs were signed in a ceremony at Yonhap's headquarters in downtown Seoul by Park Jung-chan, president of Yonhap News, and his counterparts from the six newswire companies. --MORE
