The President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE), Dr. Hashim bin Abdullah Yamani has expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz for the royal trust in appointing him the President of the City. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he expressed optimism that he would accomplish successfully the directives of the King, the Crown Prince, and the Second Deputy Premier in the service of the homeland and its citizens. Dr. Yamani said the establishment of the City will contribute to achieving sustainable development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the use of science, research and industries relating to atomic and renewable energy for peaceful purposes leading to higher standards of living in the Kingdom. He affirmed that the City will work to set national priorities and policies in the field of atomic and renewable energy to build a technological scientific base in the areas of power generation and desalinated water as well as in medical, industrial, agricultural, and mining areas.
