Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, held a press briefing following his inspection tour of the Force of Duty in Najran Region. During the press briefing, Prince Khalid said that his inspection tours of the armed forces come in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General. As regards the news reporting that 32 bodies were retrieved by the infiltrators, Prince Khalid said that this is true. "In my previous statements, I said that there are bodies belonging to them. We highly respect bodies. The infiltrators already received 32 bodies. The commander of Jazan Sector was instructed to continue searching for any bodies in order to be delivered to them". Whether there were violations by infiltrators in Yemen or Saudi territory, Prince Khalid said "Anything happening in Yemen is an internal affair. As for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, our role is clear. Whoever moves into the Saudi border, it will be considered as a killing zone. Therefore, we have not allowed snipers to enter. As for smugglers, this is a matter dealt with by the Ministry of Interior". Prince Khalid hoped that Yemeni armed forces would be at the border to ensure that snipers would not infiltrate. In response to a question about any concerns on the border, Prince Khalid said "There is no concern, but our duty is to be prudence and to work day and night to protect the borders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia".
