Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, paid today an inspection visit to the Southern Borders of the kingdom. During the visit, the assistant minister announced the end of the major operations of clearing at the Southern Borders. In a press conference at the end of the visit, he explained the situation at the southern borders stressing Saudi forces" ability to defeat the infiltrators. Prince Khalid bin Sultan said that sadly, the other side"s causalities are huge adding that the casualties of the Saudi side are 73 martyrs, 26 missing and 470 injured. The missing include 12 dead people who are considered martyrs but their bodies have not been recovered yet. All injured, but 60, recovered. Prince Khalid bin Sultan wished that the infiltrators had loyalty to their country, Yemen, and not to other countries. Prince Khalid bin Sultan stressed Saudi Arabia"s desire not to fight any one but aggressors and infiltrators. On the nationalities of the infiltrators, he said that there are elements from two or three countries.
