SABIC has signed in Houston an agreement with American SILANESE company for the establishment of a factory which will produce Poly Acetal with an annual capacity of 50,000 metric tons within the framework of Ibn Sina company in the Industrial City of Jubail. The project is estimated to cost $400 million. A press statement released by SABIC said the project will be on stream by 2013, noting that Poly Acetal is used in the production of cars, electronics as well as in mechanical and construction industries as well as other industries. It is worth mentioning that Ibn Sina company was established in 1401H for the production of chemical methanol and other products.
