Germany and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance their cooperation in Railways. The visiting German Federal Minister of Traffic, Building and Urban Development, Dr. Peter Ramsauer, and Director General of the National Transport Authority, Dr. Nasser Saif Al Mansouri signed the MoU, the UAE news agency "WAM" reported. Both sides underlined their interest in conducting intensive exchange and cooperation in various issues of the transport sector, such as railway transport, transport safety and technology systems. Besides Dr. Peter Ramsauer also held talks with governmental officials and representatives of German companies in Abu Dhabi. The visit underlines the importance of the strategic partnership between the UAE and Germany.
