The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Trade Minister Sheikha Lubna Al Qassimi and Vincent Van Quickenborne, Belgian Minister of Enterprise and Streamlining, have discussed in Brussels venues for expanding trade and investment relations between the two countries. Sheikha Lubna is in Belgian capital, Brussels, to take part in a gathering organised by the Arab-Belgium-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce under the theme "Sustainable Development, Diversification, Investment Opportunities in the UAE." The two sides also discussed ways to boost the flow of Belgian investments into the UAE economy in general and renewable energy sector in particular, as well as to enhance relations between business communities on the two countries, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM" In remarks at the meeting, Sheikh Lubna stressed that the UAE looks forward to sustain stronger and wider trade and investment exchange with Belgium through joint projects to the best interests of both countries. For his part, the Belgian Minister expressed his country's interest in promoting cooperation with the UAE, which he said enjoys an outstanding economic and trade status both regionally and globally.
