Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja inaugurated this evening the Saleem Net Awareness Project. Saleem Net Awareness Project aims at transforming the Saudi society into an innovative one and user of the output of technology and science in all aspects of life since it addresses all segments of society through a package of selected works and directed to each category. Implemented jointly by the Ministry of Culture and Information and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology under the title "Saleem Net", the project includes the production of a number of series of animation directed for adults and children and a set of books and magazines on the proper and sound use of the Internet and benefit of information technology. Dr. Khoja stressed that "Saleem Net" project will be the first step to raise awareness of the sound use of Internet technology and educate young people about the need to take advantage of this technology for their own benefit. The Minister also expressed appreciation of and thanks to Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel, President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, and its staff for their cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information to bring this project into existence.
