In presence of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Dr. Manmohan Singh, a number of agreements were signed at the King's Palace here on Sunday evening. A cooperation agreement on the extradition of the accused and convicted persons between Saudi Arabia and the Republic of India and an agreement on the transfer of persons sentenced to deprivation of freedom were signed by Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior and Indian Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Ghulam Nabi Azad. A memorandum of cultural cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Culture of Republic of India was signed by Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja and Indian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Murli Deora. An agreement on scientific and technical cooperation and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation on the peaceful use of outer space between King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia and Space Research Organization in the Republic of India was signed by the City's President Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel and Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry, Anand Sharma. --MORE
