The Eastern Province Border Guards Command along with 30 other military and civic organizations will conduct here tomorrow evening the annual Marine Disaster Preparedness and Response Drill in the Arabian Gulf. The Drill will simulate the fall of an A320 Airbus with 60 passengers on-board to assess the preparedness for a rescue mission. Marine Disasters have become more of a concern to the international community for its direct and immediate effects to the life and surrounding environment, said Brig. Musaad Salamah Al Faydi, Commander of the Easter Province Border guards. The Drill is necessarily to counter disasters and a test for the capabilities of the participating bodies, said Brig. Al Faydi who also is the Chairman of the disaster response Committee at the Arabian Gulf.
