Television officials of the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will hold a meeting here later today to discuss means of boosting inter-GCC cooperation in the sphere of Telecasting. The meeting will touch on suggestions concerning programs and the steps needed to elevate the content of TV programs, and others regarding the enhancement of joint GCC action, GCC General Secretariat said a press statement. The meeting is being convened following the decision undertaken by GCC higher commission in its 30th session held in Kuwait and which dictates the establishment of the permanent coordination commission affiliated with fighting media's negative effect on youth. Meanwhile, the GCC commission for housing policies will also hold later today its eighth session at the secretariat headquarters which tackles developing the general framework of GCC's housing policies and studying the mechanism and measures undertaken by Kuwait and Oman. The decision is to be tendered at the upcoming meeting of GCC's ministerial commission for planning and development. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
