The GCC Commission on Population Policies began a three-day meeting here today, according to a press release of the GCC General Secretariat. Experts from member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are expected to discuss proposals on the mechanisms and procedures for implementing the strategic objectives of GCC population that have been agreed upon during the previous meetings. Results of this meeting will be raised at the upcoming 20th meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Planning and Development in the GCC countries to take appropriate decisions. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
