Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Minister of Foreign Affairs met here today with representatives of Indian media accompanying Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. During the meeting, Prince Saud emphasized the importance of the visit of the Indian Prime Minister to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields. He pointed out that the visit aims at exchanging views on regional and international issues of common concern. Prince Saud noted that the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the Republic of India in 2006 which resulted in signing several agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries had formed an important dimension in relations of cooperation and coordination between the two countries, and improvement of the relationship into a strategic partnership, in addition to the important role being played by The Joint Saudi-Indian Committee in this framework.
