Akhir 25, 1432, March 30, 2011, SPA-- Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met here on Monday with Prince Bandar Ibn Sultan Ibn Abdulaziz, the Secretary General of Saudi National Security Council within the framework of his current visit to India. Indian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday saying that Prince Bandar briefed the Indian Prime Minister on the recent developments in various parts of the world, especially the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Cooperation Council for The Arab States of The Gulf (GCC) to achieve peace, stability and prosperity for the peoples of the region. Prince Bandar reiterated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's keenness on enhancing relations with India in all fields. The statement said that the Indian Prime Minister informed Prince Bandar about India's strong commitment to the development of its strategic partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, pointing out that the region of West Asia and the Gulf has been an important economic partner to India and a great source for providing India with energy, affirming that cooperation between India and the GCC countries has been a factor of peace and stability in the region. Prime Minister Singh expressed his confidence that the wisdom and leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud would contribute to enhancing peace and stability in the region and the world as well as achieving prosperity for the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
