United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday condemned the suicide attacks against guesthouses in Kabul that killed 17 people and injured up to 40. "This deliberate targeting of civilians demonstrates once again a senseless disregard for human life on the part of the perpetrators," Ban said about the attack. Friday's attacks, the worst in months, killed up to nine Indians, an Italian diplomat and a French filmmaker as well as three Afghan police officers.
