based Al-Madinah deplored the decision of the Israeli government to annex Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the City of Hebron and Bilal bin Rabah Mosque in Beit-Lakhm by bracketing them under the Jewish antiquities, and said this development constitutes a flagrant violation of the agreements of Geneva and Hague and a clear defiance of the will of the international community. "Israel is determined on blocking the peace process in the middle east," said the daily, adding that the Israeli decision pertaining to the Islamic sanctuaries constitutes a cultural war against the Palestinian heritage and it is robbery of the Palestinian history and rights. "It is high time for the Palestinians to unify their ranks, and at the same time it is the duty of the Arab and Muslim world and the concerned international institutions including the UNESCO to work for confronting Israeli plots," the daily elaborated.
