Saudi ambassador to Indonesia Abdul-Rahman Mohammed Ameen Khayyat held here last night a dinner party in honor of Katout Abdullah Mansour on the occasion of his appointment as Indonesia's new ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Speaking on the occasion, Khayyat reiterated the importance of the existing deep-rooted relations between the Kingdom and Indonesia and said the two countries have identical views on political developments at the regional and international arenas. He noted that the two countries are keen on uprooting the phenomenon of terrorism and drying up the sources of the deviant ideas. Khayyat highlighted the efforts of the Kingdom and Indonesia as regards dialogue among followers of religions and spreading the spirit of tolerance between the Muslims and followers of other religions. The ambassador also highlighted the existing economic relations between the Kingdom and Indonesia. On his part, the Indonesian ambassador-designate praised the great attention given by the Kingdom to the pilgrims including the Indonesian pilgrims. He also underscored the importance of economic cooperation between the two countries. The reception was attended by a number of senior Indonesian officials and Arab ambassadors accredited to Indonesia.
