Indonesian joint commission for economic and technical cooperation began its 8th meeting here on Saturday. The Saudi side at the two-day meeting is led by Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labor Abdurrahman Al-bawadri, while the Indonesian side is led by Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Asian, Pacific and African Affairs Brimo Yolyanto. Al-Bawadri underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation between the Kingdom and Indonesia, notably in the field of trade exchange and issues pertaining to the Indonesian workforce in the Kingdom. On his part, Yolyanto highlighted the existing deep-rooted Saudi-Indonesian relations. He noted that trade exchange between the two countries increased from $4.1 billion in 2006 to $4.3 billion in 2007.
