One person died and another five were injured in a fire that ripped through an apartment building in southern Moscow early on Monday, the press service of the Emergencies Ministry's department said. "A woman with two children was hospitalized. Another two persons were given medical assistance at the site of the accident," Itar-Tass quoted the source as saying. The fire broke out at the ninth floor of a nine-storey building at 08:30 Moscow time. The fire engulfed 50 square meters. All tenants of the house were evacuated. Five fire-fighting units are working on the site. The traffic in this region is hampered.
