French President Nicolas Sarkozy said today that neither he nor German Chancellor Angela Merkel were happy with the outcome of December's Copenhagen climate summit, according to dpa. "In Copenhagen, we were together the entire day, and we really had the same analysis," Sarkozy said during a press conference with Merkel in Paris. "We are not happy with what happened, the way it happened, and we will no longer permit things to go on in this way," the French president said after a joint French-German cabinet meeting in Paris. It was Sarkozy's first public criticism of the UN-sponsored climate conference, which he previously said had arrived at "the best possible" outcome.
