Six people died and another seven were injured when a bus collided with a locomotive in Russia's Ryazan region, Itar-Tass quoted the press service of the regional emergency situations department as saying. The bus was carrying 15 people, an emergencies official said. The collision on the railroad crossing Novaya Pustyn in Ryazan region's Shilovo district was reported at 14:38, Moscow time, on Thursday. "The accident occurred at 14:15, Moscow time. For unknown reasons, the bus drove through an unguarded railway crossing onto the tracks and collided with a passing locomotive. The precise casualty toll will be announced after all the passengers have been evacuated from the bus," the press service said. The injured passengers were rushed to the medical center at the Rybnoye railway station.
