The Arab Authority for Blood Transfusion Services (AABTS) concluded here yesterday its ninth meeting under the chairmanship of the AABTS President Abdullah bin Zamil Al-Drees, who is also a member of the Saudi Shoura Council. The two-day meeting was attended by the Director General of Laboratories and Blood Banks of the Saudi Ministry of Health Dr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, representatives of AABTS member states and the Arab League Assistant Secretary General for Social Affairs Dr. Seema Bahuth. The meeting recommended the Secretariat of the Council of Arab Health Ministers to encourage Member States to adopt the establishment of a national project for plasma-derived pharmaceuticals.
