The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has recently organized a week under the title of "Islam in the city". The week included lectures, exhibitions, workshops, a show on Islamic manuscripts as well as dialogues on Islam in the contemporary world. Dr Nooruddin Miladi, the Director of WAMY"s office in London, said the organization of the week aimed at enabling the Londoners with Islam and its positive impact on the individual and the society. Moreover, he said the week aimed at improving the understanding of the Muslims with their religion on issues like the rights of women and co-existence with non-Muslims. The lectures delivered during the week aimed at correcting wrong ideas about Islam.
