Dr Salih bin Soleiman al-Wohaibi, the Secretary General of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), has highlighted the activates of WAMY, and said WAMY has been exerting intensive efforts to correct wrong ideas about Islam and the charitable works. The remarks of Dr al-Wohaibi came at the press meeting held on the occasion of the annual iftar party of WAMY, due to be held here on Tuesday. Dr al-Wohaibi said WAMY used to hold an annual iftar party in honor of the ambassadors, diplomats and businessmen taking into account the importance of enhancing the principles of coexistence with the friends. We participated in Paris conference, held in 2003, he said noting that the conference was held to defend the charitable societies. Dr al-Wohaibi said WAMY is keen on turning from dialogue with others to joint work. For that reason we participated in the human forum held in London, and we were one of its founders along with the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) and the Red Cross Society and other relief organizations. Dr al-Wohaibi underlined the importance of such meetings for removing misunderstanding about the activities of WAMY.
