The Higher Committee for the international conference on Urban Heritage in the Muslim countries held here today a meeting under the chairmanship of Prince Sultan Bin Salman, the President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA). The international conference on Urban Heritage will be organized under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz on 4-9/05/1431H (April 18-23, 2010). The Higher Committee reviewed issues pertaining to the arrangements of the conference as well as the experiences of other countries in the field of development of urban heritage. Various exhibitions will be held on the fringes of the conference with the participation of a number of Muslim countries and organizations concerned with Urban Heritage. At the end of the meeting, Prince Sultan bin Salman signed a number of agreements with Riyadh municipality, the ministry of municipal and rural affairs, the higher authority for the development of Riyadh, King Saud University, and the charitable heritage institution.
