Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, the first international conference on the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the service of the Muslim causes will be held here in Rabie Al-Awal, 1431 H. The conference , due to be organized by the Madinah-based Islamic University in coordination with King Abdul-Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives, will be attended by a number of scholars and researchers. Dr Mohammed Al-akla, the University"s rector, said in a statement to SPA, that the conference will shed light on the role of the Kingdom in the service of Islam and Muslims in the various parts of the world. Dr Al-akla pointed out that the conference will review the Kingdom"s efforts in supporting the Arab and Islamic organizations and societies.
